Adventure
I love finding myself in "improbable places". And (ask anyone who's traveled with me) I usually say that phrase aloud when I'm in a spot where that idea strikes me. Whether I'm 500-ft off the ground on a cliff ledge that only a handful of humans have ever stood on before, or in an off-the-beaten-path restaurant in a small town in a foreign country, these are the kinds of places and experiences that bring me joy.

Travel
I want to see and visit as much of the world as possible in this life. I'm no van-life nomad or jet-setting freelancer (at least not yet ;)). But hopefully this page is proof that you can hold down a full-time job in a home-base city and still get out there in the world.

Climbing & mountaineering
Climbing has given me some of my favorite memories and adventures of my entire life. It's a great excuse to travel to parts of the world that others rarely visit, but which have a lot to offer the visitor. And there is no more improbable place than standing on a glaciated mountain summit or clinging to an overhanging cliff-face.
Snowboarding
I've often said that snowboarding is the most fun I've ever had on my own two feet. It's true, and if you've ever ridden, you know the feeling yourself. Living in the southeast US, I certainly don't get to snowboard as much as I get to do some of my other adventures, but we still make time for it. It's such an incredible way to move through mountainous terrain, even if the lift did the hard part for you (unless it didn't... see splitboarding!).
